To Whom it may concern:

I am writing to encourage residents on South Walker and South Main to be present at the upcoming informational meeting on Tuesday, March 8th at 5:30 pm.  The discussion will focus on the potential annexation of “Newtonville,” which is on the south side of New York Mills.  The information presented at the meeting will forecast property tax changes, utility rates, and ordinances.  All these things have the potential to be significant changes to those who live in Newtonville.  It will be important to also find out if there will be residual effects for the residents of Newton Township and beyond.  This is a great time to be more engaged in our local government.
